School Fund Raising Solutions

Brochure Fundraising is the process of soliciting orders from family, friends, neighbors and people at work using color brochures. Many elementary school, junior high schools and senior high school booster clubs among many other types of non-profit youth groups have used brochure fundraisers very profitably. This type of program has no up front costs- everything is free. Orders and monies are collected at the time of the sale. For more comprehensive information on this type of program, please visit our Brochure Fundraising page.

Direct Sale Fundraising is simply a phrase we use to describe a fundraiser where merchandise is purchased in advance and then sold directly to the customer. Our primary direct sale products are Hershey's Chocolates, Fundraising Candy Bars and Lollipops. This type of fundraiser is great for raising quick money in a short amount of time. It works well at sporting events, office sales, cafeterias, etc. For a more comprehensive listing of our direct sale products, please visit our Fundraising Superstore.

Which type of fund raising program is right for my school or group?

There is no set rule for which type of fundraiser you should run for your school, team or organization. We offer a variety of both Brochure and Direct Sale fundraising programs and that decision is often predicated on a number of things which include: the amount of money being raised, time of year, number of participants, local economic conditions and what kind of products you think will sell well in your community.

What advice can you offer me?

The first fund raising advise we can offer you is from our Expert Advice page will is a great aid for all brochure fund raising sponsors - and it offers important information regarding running your brochure fundraiser safely.

The fundraisingzone.com (a Tracy Hamilton Inc. Company) has been in the fundraising business since 1965 and we learned a lot in that time. The most important element of any fundraiser is having clear goals, both financial and organizational. We suggest that you do your "homework" and find the best fundraising program you can with a vendor that will support you before, during and after the event. We suggest you read our Expert Advise section for a few additional hints and ideas.

What about our profits, I hear a lot of different things?

There are literally hundreds, perhaps thousands of distributors offering a huge selection of different products, brochures, ideas and programs to people like you who are looking to raise money for your cause. These vendors offer anywhere from 5% profits to 90% profits depending on the type of approach. How do you decide? Well, that is up to you. Our suggestion is that you base your decision on how you think you can sell a program. The fact is, that if you have a program that offers you, let's say 50% profit and you only sell $1,000 worth and you have another program that offers you only 30% profit but you sell $5,000 worth, you wind up earning three times as much. The choice is clear.

Generally, most groups earn the money they need by either running a "Brochure" fundraiser or a "Direct Sale" fundraiser and the other types of programs available make up the difference. If you have questions about the other types of programs you might come across please feel free to contact us to discuss it, we'd be happy to assist you
